At the carnival - background thought
Ugh. My poor husband is forced to work for a living. The entire family views this as a tragedy. This goes back to a conversation that I had with my husband several years ago. I mentioned that I'd always wanted more than one home and he looked at me, shocked. Then he went into a funk. It took me a while to figure out what was wrong, but he let me know eventually that my priority must be that he is home!! NOT that we own more things (such as houses.)
...
You know? That makes total sense to me. It seems like an excellent basis for existing. After all, we don't really want to raise a litte cog in the wheel now, do we? I was listening to a radio program today and they were talking about a talk that someone was giving called "What Jobs will Our Children Have?" Or something like that. I was driving, just thinking about it casually, and thought "my kid will make his own job."
And that pretty much says it all. No reason, given our country and all, why your kid can't start their own company. Heck, some kids are doing it by the age of 13 or so! And it should be a blast.
